This could be true, but the current crop of Femtocells need to get a whole lot more reliable. I have both the at&t one and the one from Verizon. Both of them fail to recognize my smartphones with annoying frequency, forcing me to reset my phone, the cell, or both before they work again. Moreover, if my bandwidth is constrained (by streaming video for instance), the cells both lose contact with "home base" and the light just blinks hopelessly. I'd love to see these devices mature to become ubiquitous, but for now- I feel like a beta tester!
